About

LifeMapped was founded by Claire Baxter, a HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist with a passion for improving wellbeing, strengthening resilience and creating meaningful, lasting change.

At LifeMapped, we believe that psychology should be practical, accessible and empowering. Whether working with children, families, professionals, schools or organisations, our aim is to help people better understand themselves and others, navigate challenges with confidence, and build healthier, more resilient futures.

Drawing on extensive experience in forensic psychology, behaviour change, safeguarding and trauma-informed practice, LifeMapped delivers evidence-based psychological services that combine scientific knowledge with practical, real-world application.

Specialist Expertise

LifeMapped has particular expertise in the prevention of domestic abuse and the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on children’s development, emotional wellbeing and future relationships.

Research consistently demonstrates that exposure to domestic abuse, including during pregnancy and early childhood, can have profound and lasting consequences for babies, children and families.

Through education, consultancy and training, we work to increase awareness, strengthen professional practice and support earlier intervention. Our ambition is to help break intergenerational cycles of abuse by equipping individuals, families and professionals with the knowledge and confidence to recognise risk, build healthy relationships and promote safer futures.

Our Approach

At LifeMapped, we look beyond behaviour.

We recognise that behaviour is shaped by experiences, relationships, environments and opportunity. Lasting change comes not simply from managing behaviour, but from understanding the factors that influence it.

Our work is collaborative, compassionate and evidence-based. We believe that psychological knowledge should be translated into practical strategies that people can use every day, whether in classrooms, workplaces, homes or professional practice.

Our Values

Evidence-based

Everything we do is informed by psychological research, best practice and professional standards. We are committed to delivering interventions that are grounded in evidence and focused on meaningful outcomes.

Compassion

Every individual has a unique story. We create psychologically safe environments where people feel heard, respected and supported.

Collaboration

The best outcomes are achieved through partnership. We work alongside individuals, families, schools and organisations to develop solutions that are practical, sustainable and tailored to their needs.

Empowerment

Our goal is not simply to solve today’s challenges, but to equip people with the confidence, understanding and skills to navigate future ones independently.

Our Vision

We believe that understanding people changes lives.

Our vision is to create psychologically informed schools, organisations and communities where people feel safe, valued and able to flourish.

By combining expertise with compassion, research with practice, and insight with action, LifeMapped helps people navigate complexity, strengthen wellbeing and create lasting positive change.

Because every journey begins with understanding where you are, and every positive future begins with knowing where you’re going.
